Independent Feature Films

The people at Emerald City Pictures have honed their skills on two independent features to date.  Working in a variety of situations on limited budgets, this crew enjoys the challenges of location shooting and tough conditions. If the studio is the right place for the project, we’ll be there, but necessity is the mother of invention, and wicked weather can make for great pictures. That’s why film sets on wind swept, rain soaked mountaintops are nothing new to the crew at Emerald City Pictures. Our productions aim to bring world-class production value to the region and show off the great talent and locations that call the Pacific Northwest home.

Warrior’s End

Warrior’s End is an award-winning medieval action drama shot in the sweeping landscapes of Washington State. This ambitious film takes the audience on an epic adventure through the Dark Ages to imposing castles, soaring mountains, and violent battles. The dedication of the cast and crew allowed the film to achieve moviemaking on a scale unheard of in the low-budget, independent genre. Visit the Warrior’s End imdb page here.

Eyes in the Dark

In June of 2008, Emerald City Pictures began work on its first thriller/horror film. Shot hand-held in first-person POV style, Eyes in the Dark follows a group of college co-eds on a weekend cabin getaway in the Washington State Cascade foothills. The film combines the characters’ compulsive self-documentation and laid-back humor with the raw terror they uncover after crossing paths with an ancient evil. The filmmakers blended the improvisational talents of the actors with beautiful but brooding locations to create a vision that plays on everyone’s fear of the unknown. Set in a fictionalized area of the Cascade Range with a long history of legends and mysterious disappearances, the film quickly transports the audience to a place of excitement and terror.
